What paint correction is
Automatic car washes and dirty towels leave fine scratches in the clear coat. Under the sun they show up as circular “swirls.” Correction is machine polishing in stages: a cutting step to level the damage, then refining steps to restore clarity. It is the core of our Platinum Detail.
What it can and cannot fix
- Usually fixable: swirl marks, light scratches, haze, oxidation on faded paint, many water spots.
- Not fixable by polishing: scratches that caught your fingernail and reached the base coat or primer, rock chips, clear coat that is already peeling.
Clear coat is thin and does not grow back. A good shop removes only what is needed. That is why we start with an inspection under light and tell you which defects will come out and which will not.

Protect it afterwards
Corrected paint is the best base for a coating. Most owners who pay for correction follow it with Ceramic Pro coating, or paint protection film on the front end if they drive the highway every day.
