Why a hand wash instead of a tunnel
Tunnel brushes and recycled water drag grit across the paint. That is where most of the circular swirl marks on Massachusetts cars come from. A careful hand wash gets the car just as clean without putting new scratches in the clear coat.
- Washed by hand, panel by panel
- Wheels and tires cleaned by hand
- Dried by hand with microfiber towels
- Done indoors, so no sun spots or wind-blown dust while it dries
Which wash fits your car
Our hand wash is priced the same as our details, because it is the same work by the same people:
- Mini Detail — $160 car, $180 SUV, $200 truck (about 1h30). Exterior hand wash plus interior vacuum, panels and console wiped down and interior glass. This is our hand car wash, inside and out.
- Full Exterior — $300 car, $350 SUV, $400 truck (about 3 hours). Hand wash plus clay bar decontamination, machine polish and a protective sealant. For paint that looks dull or feels rough.
- Full Detail — from $400. Hand wash and the full interior and exterior in one visit. See all detail levels.
Winter salt
From December to March, road salt sits on the lower panels, wheels and underside of every car in the area. A hand wash every few weeks gets it off before it starts to stain and corrode. If the salt has already been ground into the floor mats, add a Full Interior.
